Joining the Army…?

I think I may have changed my mind about not joining the army. I know that I am WAY overweight to actually join but I feel like when I am able, when I get to my goal weight or when my body fat % is low enough, that is when I will join. Until that time I will be practicing what I will need to be able to do when it comes time for the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT).

On line it said that I will need to be able to….

Pushups  2 mins

  • 36 APFT
  • 13 Basic
  • 19 maintaining

Situps 2 mins

  • 72 APFT
  • 47 Basic
  • 53 maintaining

2 mile run

  • 16:24 APFT
  • 19:42 Basic
  • 18:54 maintaining

Right now this all seems impossible but I believe if I continue to workout daily and watch my food intake I can actually meet these stats.
